The Deltapremie is a newly introduced, large grant for leading practice-based research in universities of applied sciences (HBO), awarded every two years to two professors by Vereniging Hogescholen en SIA.

On a black tray three crystals are displayed. When these are successfully placed together in the shape of a pyramid, the shape lights up: literally a doing research, using your hands. The three crystals represent the three cornerstones of applied science: teaching, research and practice.

The award was realised in cooperation with Yens & Yens and Kieran Hinde.
